Lifestyle: Aileen has a very full life. She’s a leader in biotech who also coaches and mentors at her company. She now has a hybrid schedule balancing time in the office with time working from home, she also periodically attends work related events. Married with two teen boys and a demanding career she needed pieces that make getting dressed easy in pieces that feel authentic to her. Whether she’s traveling internationally, heading to work or running around town, it’s essential that she feels comfortable in every piece.

Approach: It was time to do a major overhaul. Years of struggling to understand what pieces would flatter her frame and communicate her style, Aileen’s collection was an array of pieces that didn’t feel like her at all. She wanted easy options that helped her feel great in her body, aligned with her values and her authentic style. The top priority was listening to her and ensuring that she felt comfortable taking a big risk. She was nervous, but when her Uber Wishlist arrived, it was clear that we were on the right track. Watches

Here’s some Super helpful info on watch sizes. I feel really good about a more masculine approach and a larger size watch. The one I had on when you saw me gives you an idea where I’m headed here. Nixon is a super hip brand. Not cheap but not too expensive either. And the Rack certainly helps with that, too.

Necklaces

Obsessed.

Practical, affordable and easy to work with. Ideally, you’ll walk away with one necklace that has gold and another with silver to maximize flexibility.

Alternatively, you can go with a necklace that has both!

Timeless, hip with a solid note of bad assery and they should be just right with your frame. Plus, I dig them with your leather…..

Handbags

So, we’ve got a wide range of prices in the handbag section. I know you were thinking something colorful, but I also wanted it to work with any of your shoes or coats. I don’t see you swapping out your bag regularly. Therefore, I’m opting for some stellar textures and prints. Another MOMA store option, just read up on the gloriousness of this bag.

One of my personal favorite handbags of all time, this Bao Bao Issey Myake bag is a true work of art. It’s available in multiple sizes and comes in other colors, too. It’s an investment for sure. There are ample supplies of knock offs on Amazon if that is more your speed. Regardless, it’s wildly hip, super functional and will go with anything. It brings the edge.

Let’s talk about belt bags (in our past lives known as fanny packs.) I feel like you need one. No, you won’t be wearing it around your waist. You’ll be wearing it as a cross body. These posts might be helpful for styling. It’s another way to simplify your life and look cool, too:) I’m especially fond of this color, texture and shape- it’s all the things- for maximum impact.

Just in case you’d prefer a cross body, I love this one. Yes! We can integrate colors into your accessory collection. The key is for them to work with your shoes and coats, too. Green is a great choice for the vast majority of your pieces.

One last piece of art. Let’s face it. You just need to see how beautiful these are because it’s inspiring and fun- whether or not you purchase them.

Loungewear

Oh my goodness! Summersalt makes awesome swimsuits and now the brand makes equally compelling loungewear, too! This cashmere combo is sophisticated and still effortless. This is another website you’ll find yourself diving into. Their swimsuits are made really well so I have lots of confidence in the loungewear.

I also like the French Terry option for you. How cool is this sweatshirt? These combos also come in multiple colors.

House Shoes

YES, House shoes absolutely are a thing. One approach, is to go with something with solid support like a pair of Birkenstocks. Why not try this hipper version that just came out, inspired by Japan?

This year we are seeing a wave of clogs/ slides. Technically, clogs have a wooden sole. But, not all brands seem to be picking up on that. If you feel like investing, this minimalist pair is pretty much the coolest thing out there. These can be worn inside or out. You choose!

Another approach is to choose shoes that can be thrown in the washing machine. Rubber Birks are ideal for this. They are also a great choice if you’d like to offer house shoes to guests because you can wash them in between wears.

Nightwear

You’ll never regret having a Kim + Ono silk kimono. Beautifully hand made, these are available in an array of colors and prints. I’m especially fond of this one for you.

Silk prevents wrinkles and more importantly, it’s a great temperature regulator. Translation- It’s a smart choice when your temperature is fluctuating. Washable silk is even better. I think you’ll also like Quince. Similar to Everlane, it cuts out the middle person and offers great savings and value.

Pajamas that are cozier than a silk slip but also not too hot. These are flattering and can go from loungewear to sleepwear.

Another obsession. A super flattering pair of silk pajamas. If the rise is high enough in the pants, these will be flattering with the boxy style of top. And oh so comfortable all night long.
